Where do hours go when we’ve used them
Or wasted them?
Where does time go when it is past?
Some of it is stored as memory,
Others of it forms the silent laugh of the universe
At our tiny concept of time
In our tiny corner of time.
The human life span is less than a water glass of water in the ocean.
So does it mean that our time is meaningless and that our being doesn’t matter?
No, because it is so tiny, it is rare
And a treasure that we can either spend well, waste.
Or invest in improving the times we share with others. For those hours are not lost, but multiplied by two or many
And still exist even after they have left our hand.
Hours themselves have no meaning
Other than what we do with them.
They only become meaningless if we let them slip through our hands
Without sharing them.
