Judge and Jury

Judge not.
We are admonished not to judge, because one person is not a jury.
Our judgments are made without hearing all the evidence
or having the perspective of anyone but ourselves.
When we judge others, we are not giving them a fair trial
And pronouncing a sentence.
Perhaps I am a good judge of character
Perhaps not
But I am not a jury.
And none of us can give another a fair trial,
And all of us can (and do) condemn the innocent.
